My name is Thenjiwe Pamela Ndlovu. I was born in 1987 and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe and moulded and groomed in South Africa during my tertiary education. I resemble and contribute to South Africa to being a rainbow nation due to my diverse ethnic background. I am from a family of three and I am the middle child and only girl. My mother is a Director and Principal and my father is a Commodity Broker. I will be commencing my third year in the Bachelor of Social Work in the year 2012 at the University of Limpopo in the hope of being a successful Social Work Administrator in the near future, in order to orchestrate welfare projects and enhance social policies.
I am an amiable and gregarious individual who appreciates people for not what they are, but who they can be. I believe strongly in having good morals and a value system for a strong back bone in life. In as much as I am an academic I like to travel, given the opportunity, and I have a sporty side to me. I enjoy swimming, playing basketball, soccer and tennis. My calling is to provide a service for the people, to be listened to not just heard, to discuss issues of crucial social importance and finding solutions. My aim is to reach out and give, touch lives and advocate for the down trodden focusing on the terminally ill, abused women and men, orphans, handicapped and the poor. So far to fulfil my purpose to serve in community work I have entered and won pageants in the hope of getting a platform to develop communities.
I have been involved in community projects and initiated my own project. I have rendered my services as a peer educator, visited and donated food and clothes to an orphans drop-in centre and hospice within an impoverished and rural community. I intend to do more around my continent, given the platform as an International Students Ambassador to promote and celebrate the internal and beauty, and potential of students because we are the future leaders. I Thenjiwe Pamela Ndlovu define an ambitious young African woman with hope, faith, perseverance, determination and confidence. I have a vision a mission and a purpose to help emancipate the down trodden. I am a hard worker and can adapt to different situations and environments above all I am a team player I believe in working together to achieve greatness, thus a step forward to eradicate social instability. ‘Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu’.
