MUA Ghana 2013

My name is Abigail Dwumoh Sarpong . I am a 19 year old second year student studying degree in hospitality. HEIGHT: 5.9. I believe beauty pageants are not just about beauty. What’s beauty without a purpose? What’s beauty without intelligence? As a beautiful woman, you should be smart, eloquent, and intelligent and most importantly have a good heart for humanity.

My hobbies are spending time with kids at the orphanage, reading, movies, acting, and swimming. I have always admired people who have a lot or little and yet give back to the society. As the saying goes, ‘There is more blessing in giving than receiving’. I have always had the dream of doing everything in my power to help the less privileged in my society and personally I have started something already for a number of street kids in the Eastern part of my country. I know with perseverance, hard work and determination, this dream of mine will be a success. I think one do not have to be very rich to make a difference in the less privilege lives but if you do little, even just your time is much and I also do little about it slowly but surely our society will be a better place.

I won the stiff contest to represent Ghana at time year Miss University Africa 2013, “I am grateful to Celebrities First Empire for believing in me and choose me from the lot and also coo does to the international organizers for bringing young university ladies from all across Africa for a common curse. I am looking forward to learn a lot from the other girls in this pageant since we are all from different countries. And I am also willing to introduce them to the beautiful Ghanaian culture”. I believe for representing our various countries, we are all winners already but moving further, I think in my humble opinion I have all it takes and more to win the crown.
